The table

In our office, there is a table.

On the table sits everything we have ever made. Hundreds of shapes, ideas and finished products sit there happily. Most of what is on that table, you have not seen yet.

The first things on the table were small lamps. With a small team and a small workshop we made a few thousand of them. Along the way we learned that what we enjoy most is making good electronics for demanding people.

In some ways, it has never been a better time for electronics lovers. From the same shelf we all buy the same decent products, cheaply.

In other ways, it is a worse time. Mass-market electronics have little character; everything is grey, smooth and the same.

So we work slower. Every object on this table has passed through a dozen hands, three prototypes and at least one argument over a single millimetre.

Nit Kap is the first to leave the table. It is not the biggest or the loudest — but it is exactly the size it needs to be.
